Littlehampton 12 – Sussex Police 58

23rd January 2017

Today, Littlehampton were full of confidence. It was only the second time this year they could field a full team. 17 players in total turned up.

The pitch on the other hand was not feeling the warm glow from the team. It took until just before kick off for it to soften up and become something that resembled a rugby pitch.

Littlehampton went down to three quick tries from Sussex police, put that down to the players not having played together for a long time.

Littlehampton managed to claw one back through Ben best. With Mike Edmunds slotting the kick from just in front of the posts.

The game then turned and it was wave after wave of Sussex police attack. If only they tried this hard whilst on duty.

Littlehampton had one debutante on the pitch Jake. He played on the wing and he managed to get all his wings in one game. He scored, he tackled, he even took a blow to the head which saw him heading to the showers early. Well played Jake. Fantastic addition.

The game ended 12-58

Onwards and upwards. !

We are at home next weekend playing Hastings and Bexhill.

Pull your boots on strap on your arms and legs and come down for a run out.
